WordPress Dashboard not showing

Dec 11, 2013 by Susan3
Last thing I did on my website before I started facing my problem is updating some plugins. My problem is that I can no longer see my dashboard. when I go to http://mydomain .com/wp-admin it doesn’t open. If I go to http://mydomain.com my site displays normally. I tried this on different browsers and even different computers but it still didn’t work. How can I fix this?
Thank you

Try to deactivate your temporarily  and since you can’t login to your admin you can use FTP to deactivate the plugins by renaming the plugins folder
rule out all theme issue by switching to the default WP theme. Since you don’t have access to your admin area you can do this by renaming  the folder for your current theme using FTP.
Try to reset the plugins folder using your FTP or PhpMyAdmin.

If everything mentioned above doesn’t work try to manually re-upload from a fresh download all the folders and files except for the files wp-config.php and /wp-content/ dir.  Delete your previous copies of folders and files before you upload the new files and folders.
