Website folders and directories

asked Jan 14, 2013 in General by redBee (760 points)
Hi there
I have website that  I upload content to on daily basis. I only have one root level directory and I haven’t created any other folders. So all my pages are like www. mydomain. com / page1.php . I have a large number of pages in my root directory and was wondering if this will negatively affect my site’s oading time, or anything else?
Thanks in advanced

This shouldn't cause any extra load time, or any other issues as well. However  it is better to separate your pages into a logical file structure .

It will not affect the performance, but I strongly suggest you create different directories to store your different files so that you can manage things more efficiently.
