Should I go for VPS or or VPN?

asked May 1, 2012 in VPS Hosting by darkshark (1,500 points)
hello all

I'm planning a trip to Dubai and I need to stay connected online. I came to know that they have a fire wall there. I need to access paypal and use skype and so as a solution for me I was thinking of either buying a VPS and installing openVPN or just buying a VPN service? I want the safest way to do this because I’ll be using my paypal. Can I have some insight into this please?

thank you
