sending email/SMTP 550 error

asked Jul 20, 2012 in Email by Dan_31 (910 points)
Hi all,

When I send an email to some addresses, I get a 550 error
SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT
   550-Unrouteable address
   550 Sender verify failed
I checked the address I’m sending to and its correct and I checked the mail setup and the outgoing SMTP and it all looks fine
I've been through his email client and it is set up correctly with the out going SMTP mail correct.

How can I fix this? Please help

check the MX record of your domain and  verify if the domain is there in  /etc/localdomain.

Check the permissions. You might not have sufficient  permissions to send with that email address.
