phpmyadmin and cPanel

Jan 1, 2014 by Donald
Hi there
I want to enable my customers to use phpmyadmin from within cPanel, but I am having some doubts regarding how secure it would be. Is there any security risk if I enable my customers to have and use phpmyadmin from their cPanel?
I would appreciate any insights on this
Many thanks

I think it is best to disable phpmyadmin on customer account unless they specifically ask for it. Using it from cPanel would be better and more secure than downloading  and installing their own copy. To disable phpMyAdmin for cpanel go to your WHM->Packages -> Feature Manager -> edit default Feature List and then uncheck the option phpmyadmin, and save the list.
