.Log into the cPanel and scroll down until you see "Password Protect Directories". and click on it
.Click on the directory that you wish to setup the password protection on and verify that you wish to setup the password protection and also on what directory.
.Click the box for "Password protect this directory" and then give the directory a name and click Save.
.Cpanel will confirm and verify now that the directory has been created. Click on "Go Back" to proceed.
.Now create a user and a password.
.Click on "Add/modify authorized user".
.Cpanel will confirm and verify now that the user has been created. Click on "Go Back" to proceed.
