I am currently working on my new online store. I have just selected Magento as my open sours open cart system. I am new in the area and I was wondering if anyone can give me some tips on how to market my new online store online? I don’t want to spend on advertisements yet as I am under a strict budget. Any tips would be appreciated.

I suggest that you write articles about your new stores and post then in blogs and forums.. and it would also help if you add a signature with a link to your online store and add it every time you post on forums and blogs.

Be connected. Social media is something you can use. Open accounts on facebook and twitter and other social medias and just spread the word.

We are testing an idea at that would give you a dedicated section in our marketplace. The concept is that Bloggers will be able to add plugins that take users to their section where we provide accesses to Craigslist, eBay, Facebook and Twitter, free image hosting and PayPal.  This is a pilot program, so there aren't any examples to show you yet. Quickable has been predominately a mobile marketplace with over 100k users nationwide and now we are moving to allow more web accessibility. This is not something we are selling, so there are no setup fees involved. If this sounds like something you'd like to look into or try out, email me
