Migrating my account from cPanel to Plesk

May 25, 2012 by TheRock

What is the simplest way to migrate from cPanel hosted server to a Plesk hosted server? Noting that I already have an account on cPanel and an account on Plesk server that I want to migrate to. I also have 2 available IP addresses.

Thanks in advanced

1.Log into the Plesk server and make sure that you have downloaded and installed Migration manager tool.
2.Login to the Migration manager tool. Home > Help & Support > Migration Manager.
3.click on "Start New Migration" to start a new migration attempt.
4.Enter the IP address or hostname of the cPanel server where the account exists. Also enter the root user login and the password.
5.You can choose to select your accounts manually, and if you do  you will have to select the accounts. Then click next.
6.You should have at least 1 free IP address available if you  domains are on the Plesk server in a shared IP address mode. Else  you would need 1 free IP for every domain you are transferring. Click next to continue.
7.Now you have to set up the rules for the migration to follow (conflict rules). You need tol let Plesk know if it could bypass any quotas that may have for the migration. Select your options and click next.
8.Migration will now start.
