Managed VPS question

Jan 17, 2014 by Karen
I recently for got a full managed VPS and I then changed the custom name server . I was told by my host that I have to add records to my VPS . I am using CentOS VPS with cPanel. My question is, how can I add records to my VPS?
Any help is appreciated
Many thanks

From your cPanel go to  the option “Advanced DNS Zone Editor”. Then find your domain name, and then you’ll see the “Type”drop down list under the “Add a record” option. You can use the Add a Record option to add records for your domain.

to add new  nameservers
1.go to your WHM-> Server Configuration -> Basic cPanel & WHM Setup.
2. On the bottom of that page you can add new nameservers.
3.set the new nameserves and then click the button “ Add an A entry “ for each nameserver.
4. Go back to WHM Main -> DNS Functions -> Edit DNS Zone
5. if your name server is "ns10.domain.com", edit the DNS Zone for yourdomain.com, then  add an "A" entry for the "ns10" pointing to the same  IP assigned by  the registrar.
