Mail forwarding service for my WHOIS registration

asked Sep 30, 2013 in Domains by Alpha2 (880 points)
Hello all

I have a number of domain names(around 12), and the current cost for the WHOIS privacy services shave started adding up... now I was thinking would it be better and more cost effective if I sign up for a any other service like VirtualPostMail  that would give me an address that I can use for my WHOIS information, so that the mail sent to this add would be screened before reaching my mailbox. Then if I think something is important I can forward it to the real address
What do you guys think of this idea? would it work ?

This sounds reasonable, as long as you can verify your WHOIS info to your registrar. There are services for about $10 per month. Make sure you can receive mail at that given address and  being able to ask for  a scan of the verification letter, and then forward it to your home address if.
