Joomla Error error page

Sep 20, 2013 by deepa1
Hi there,

I  changed my Joomla website’s Database prefix  from "ecnv3_" to "jos_". And right after I did that I got this error message “Error displaying the error page” Application Instantiation Error
So I thought I would change the prefix to what it was before to fix this error, but the error still remains the same.  I doubled checked my database settings, and made sure that all the settings are right.
I need help fixing this as I ran out of ideas and would appreciate any input on this
Thanks and regards

Your database prefix is stored in the configuration.php file. Try to clear the cache and cookies on your browser and see if that helps.

If clearing the cache doesn’t work,  open your website with Firefox and then use the Error Console to check the database prefix used for your query. There could be a permission issue stopping the configuration.php from saving.
