ISPConfig3 or CPanel

asked Nov 17, 2012 in Website Builder by darkshark (1,500 points)
I am using  shared hosting and have used cPanel for  several years now. I have just decided to upgrade to a private server and the host is saying that  the default setup uses ISPConfig 3, and if I would want to change the hosting plan to include cPanel  would need to pay double the amount. The new server has CentOS and I need email, database and PHO functionalities. My question is,  should I keep the ISPConfig 3? is it   functional, or should I stick to cPanel and pay the difference?

I recommend you stick to Cpanel. It’s more functional and since you’ve been using it for long like you mentioned it’s better to keep using it.

It's hard to switch  control panels, I think it is worth the money to upgrade to cPanel

ISPConfig 3 is ok, but it's not as functional as cPanel. DirectAdmin is a low cost control panel and it works quiet well. Maybe you should give it a try.
