How to remove an SSH Key

asked Feb 9, 2014 in Security by MirrorXYZ (1,400 points)
Hi all
I am currently using cPanel with  Centos. Few months back I had an SSH key placed for security reasons. Now I want to remove all the SS keys and I want to be able to have normal access instead as root with any user. How can I do this?
Can anyone please help
Thanks and regards

First you will need to change the root password in your WHM. Then edit the /etc/ssh/sshd_config by setting the PermitRootLogin  and PasswordAuthentication values to YES
Then restart your SSHD using this command: /etc/init.d/sshd restart

When you are done with the restart look for the key numbers for users and then delete the allowed keys or edit them.

Then, from your WHM and go to Security Center -> Manage Wheel Group Users and delete irrelevant users
