How to Optimize my new server for better load time

Nov 22, 2013 by darkshark
Hello all
I got a new CPANEL/WHM server, with PHP 5.3.17,mysql Ver 14.14 ,Apache/2.2.23 (Unix)
and CentOS 6.4 . This server will be used by about 30 user accounts mainly used for webmail ,php and mysql.I just hardened this server and so far I kept all the setting as default settings for php, mysql and apache/. If I use the grosso modo, what are the best settings to opt for to get the best server perfomance.

Any help is highly appreciated
Thank you

Consider using apachebooster. It is Nginx + Varnish and  works great.

You should recompile the PHP because you are using an older version PHP 5.3. Or update your PHP to PHP 5.4.

You can change the ttl  by increasing it to about 120 if you aren’t making use of a lot of dev work . This increase the amount of time to have serve up more cached pages. You can also increase your memory cache to 512M
