Hi Zerox,
some of the things you can do to secure your website are;

1.Protect your files with passwords. However, you have to make sure that these are very hard to decipher.
2.Secure your e-mail address. you can make use of a software that will split your e-mail address. And make it hard for spamming software to read.
3.Don’t leave e-mail addresses anywhere.
4.Secure your source code. You can make use of scripts that will allow your source code to remain hidden to Internet users.
5.Make sure that the software you are using for building your website is always up to date
6.Add a robot.txt. This is a special instruction you will give to search engines who may be visiting your webpages
7.Check the permissions you may have set for your uploaded files. This is to prevent any hacker from getting access into your important and confidential files.
8.Know your server.

To protect your website, keep your website builder software updated all the time and know your website and server very well so that you would know if there is any strange file in your server.
