Firefox24 SSL error

asked Oct 8, 2013 in SSL by dolphin111 (320 points)

I am using Firefox 24. I tried opening my website which is on a shared hosting provider, and this is the error I got on Firefox:
SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.
Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long

I am using Apache.
can anyone please help me and give me some advice on how to resolve this issue?
Thanks and regards

You SSL  certificate might not be installed right.Check out web SSL checker tool that can check if the certificate you are using is OK. Then you can validate your SSL installation. Also your Firefox shouldn’t  connect through proxy

After making sure the SSL certificate is installed properly, restart your apache, and clear the cache on your Firefox and wait for sometime. Also check if Use TLS 1.0 and SSL 3.0 and are checked by going to Advanced panel -> and electing  the Encryption tab.
