Enable PHP display errors on site

I am using PHP5 and I want to temporarily enable the display of PHP errors to solve some issues I’ve been having with my site, and to understand some 500error messages I’ve been seeing lately. How can I do that through in PHP? Kindly help

You can set the PHP error reporting on from your php.ini file , simply add the below lines in your php.ini file
error_reporting  =  E_ALL
display_errors = On

This could also be done from your .htaccess file , adding the below lines in your .htaccess file
# Displaying PHP errors
php_flag display_errors on
php_value error_reporting 6143
