Drupal 7 Performance problem

asked Jul 9, 2013 in Website Builder by DruNew (1,930 points)
My Drupal site has become extremely slow. It takes about 7-9 seconds to load any page. I tried deleting the cookie, which worked initially until the first cookie was added again. The same problem reoccurred . I am not sure why is this happening and would appreciate if anyone can direct me where to start from.

Go to configuration -> performance and enabling->"Cache pages for anonymous users"-> "Aggregate and compress CSS files" -> "Aggregate JavaScript files"

I would recommend you to try out Cloudways platform to improve the performance of your website. Host with their platform. This platform is focused on speed and simplicity. While it is simple to host on cloud with their platform, it is also easy to speed up the performance of your Drupal website. The platform comes with Nginx, Apache, Memcached, Varnish, PHP-FPM, Cloudflare and HTTP/2 all of which is focused on improving speed. You can learn more about them here: https://www.cloudways.com/en/drupal-cloud-hosting.php
