Disable a main link of a menu item in WordPress

Jul 19, 2013 by SunFun
I am using WordPress 3.5.2 and I have a number of links on my Navigation bad Home, About Us, Options and Contact Us. The ‘options’ Link has its own  drop down menu with links to several pages.  I want to make the ‘options’ button disabled (doesn’t link anywhere) and forces you to select an option from the available drop down menu. Can anyone please point me at the direction to do this?
Appreciate any support

Make your own custom menu.
This link should help :http://codex.wordpress.org/Appearance_Menus_Screen
When you are done making your custom menu, provide the menu item you select a custom link of a hash (#) only: http://codex.wordpress.org/Appearance_Menus_Screen#Custom_Links
