Debian problem

Hello,

I have installed Debian Squeeze on my system, the installation went smooth, I just followed the instruction. Now every time I login with my user the application “Appearance” opens i.e System > Preferences > Apperance How can I stop this application from loading every time I login, I would really appreciate your help

Looks like you have this application in your autostart. If you want to stop it from loading when you sign in, open a terminal and log as root and then use the nautilus command and go to the folder : /usr/share/gdm/autostart  and you will probably find your application there, just simple delete it.
