DDOS attacks

Dec 25, 2013 by SaraSX

Someone decided to DDOS  my server. This caused my server to go down temporarily, and when I restarted the server everything went back online. I am running my server on cPenel and CentOS
Does anyone know how to protect my server against this? How can I find out the IP of those attacks so I can block it?
Your advice is appreciated

Your Hosting provider’s DDoS protection should have worked, since it didn’t try to activate it with the PI. There is no security against DDOS and that’s why DDOS protections are used. It usually takes around 60 sec – 90 sec for Anti DDOS to kick in, you might want to put on the always option.
