Database Issue

Hi all,

I am still in the process of learning how to make and maintain a web hosting company. I got a cloud server and I installed MariaDB and currently using WHM. I am planning to increase my cloud server size and specs to Raid 10, 8 cores 500GB space and 16GB RAM just before I launch the hosting service. Will there be any  performance gains if I put the database on a separate  virtual server?
Thank you in advance

I think using a standalone DataBase in a VM is simpler to manage.  As for Performance , try  setting the  swappiness=0 , this would otherwise be kind of touchy on your full stacked server.
