creating an internal search engine in my Drupal site

Nov 8, 2013 by DruNew
I have a Drupal 7 website and I want to add  an internal search engine to my site. I want to have an input field only for specified pages. I have activated the search module but it’s not working like I want it to. I added a new view but I have no idea how to make an input field. Can anyone please advice?
Thanks and regards

Hi there

You can do this by creating a filter search which is a search terms. Then go to your options and check the option "Expose this filter to visitors"
Then will create an input box. There are other options that you can make use of under the section in the exposed form

You can use apache_solr  or search_api for an advanced search with different options.
