Hello all
I have been using Twenty Eleven theme for several years now. Now I decided to finally change my theme. I found a theme that I really like and would work great for my site. My only issue right now is that I am worried that changing my theme will mess up my site, like remove all the plugins and everything else. Can anyone please tell me how would changing my WordPress theme affect my contents, settings etc..??
Many thanks

Changing your WordPress theme will make you lose all the modifications you made in your current theme’s file. The modifications however will remain in your current theme’s template files, but they won’t transfer to your new theme. You might also lose your widgets if they are not supported in your new theme. But they will be saved in your Inactive Widgets box.

Yeah, if you simply change your current theme and move to a new theme then surely you would lose all the modification and stuff that you done on it. Here is an article http://wpmodder.com/how-to-change-your-wordpress-theme-without-losing-your-widgets-or-your-composure-525.html that may help you out.
However, if you are searching for a new theme, you should check out http://nulledwp.com/category/wordpress_themes/ for getting some updated and trendy ones.
