Change the word "Register" in wordpress admin bar

Oct 3, 2012 by doner
Hi,
I want to change the text “register” in the admin bar. Instead of register I want it to say Register a new user. Is this possible? And if so how?

Many thanks

The text for this is in the file "wp-includes/general-template.php" , you need to look up Register and change it.

You can use the below code either in a mu-plugin, or as a standalone plugin network-activated or bp-custom.php
<?php
function branded_register_link( ) {
global $wp_admin_bar;
?>
<style type="text/css">
    #wp-admin-bar-bp-register {display:none;}
    </style>
<?php

        if ( ! is_user_logged_in() )
    $wp_admin_bar->add_menu( array(
        'id'     => 'register',
        'title'  => __( 'Register a new user' ),
        'href' => 'http://domain.com/signuppagelink/',
        'meta' => array(
            'class' => 'bp-signup',
            )

));
}

add_action('wp_before_admin_bar_render', 'branded_register_link');
?>
