Adding a title to my Drupal Front page feed

Nov 29, 2012 by DruNew
Hi there
My drupal site’s front page has listings of the latest articles in teasers. I want to add a title to the top of the listing, but I don’t know how to do that. My current front page feed doesn’t have any title’s. Can anyone please help me do this?

In the Drupal default listing, it’s better and quicker to create a block containing <h2>Latest Tips</h2>,  just adjust the tags accordingly, and disable the block title. Then put it in a "Content" region, at the top.

You can edit the file page.tpl, and hard code the title using the $is_front variable to do it.
<?php if ($is_front): ?>
  <h1 class="title" id="pagetitle"><?php print t(‘My Titile’); ?></h1>
<?php elseif ($title): ?>
  <h1 class="title" id="pagetitle"><?php print $title; ?></h1>
<?php endif; ?>
